Page 2
issuance of bonds and warrants were discussed in regard to the
financing of the project.
After discussion it was the consensus of the Committee to cut Dean
Jones's property from the proposed sewer service.
Councilman Clifford told the Committee that if this property is not
annexed, and city services provided, he was going to put in a lift
station, and the Elk's Lodge would also put in a lift station, and the
City of Paris will have to maintain two more lift stations for the next
fifty years, Reno will come over, and run gravity flow lines, and we
will be cut off at the present City limits on FM195.
Councilman Fendley said he feels that if financing can be arranged,
then go for the project and annexation.
After discussion, the Committee referred this matter back to the City
Staff requesting additional information on possible means of financing
the project before making a final decision, with either a total phase
or phase one and two to be completed in a three year period, and
expressed the need for several alternatives to the situation.
The Committee set November 24, 1987, 5:15 P. M. for their next meeting
which will be in the City Manager's conference room.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
CHAIRMAN, CURTIS FENDLEY
ATTEST:
MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY CLERK
