O <br />MINUTES OF THE UPPER STILLHOUSE CREEK SEWER SERVICE COMMITTEE <br />June 18, 1987 <br />The Committee for the Upper Stillhouse Creek Sewer Service met June <br />18,1987, 4:00 P. M., Conference Room, City Hall. Chairman Curtis <br />Fendley called the meeting to order with the following member <br />present: Councilman Clifford. Also present was City Manager, <br />Michael E. Malone, Director of Finance, W. E. Anderson, Interim City <br />Engineer, Richard Babb, Consulting Engineer, Brandon Chaney, and City <br />Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Chairman Fendley presented a letter from Oak Creek Development <br />Company advising that they would tender to the City of Paris the sum <br />of $20,000.00 at such time as they develop the third phase of Oak <br />Creek Addition, and also stated that they did not anticipate <br />expansion for one to two years. <br />Chairman Fendley presented a letter from the Paris Elks Lodge # 2433 <br />stating their willingness to pledge up to $17,000.00 toward the cost <br />of a sewer system to connect with the Elks Lodge. <br />Interim City Engineer Chaney advised the Committee that he feels that <br />Wayne Brown will not participate in the construction cost of the <br />sewer system, and if he does not, there will be no need for the lift <br />station. <br />Chairman Fendley advised the Committee that Joe McCollum has <br />expressed interest in participating in the sewer system. <br />After discussion regarding funding of the project, Chairman Fendley <br />instructed the City Manager to place this item on the next Council <br />agenda for discussion and include copies of the letters from the <br />Paris Elks Lodge, and Oak Creek Development Company. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />CURTIS FENDLEY, CHAIRMAN <br />ATTEST: <br />MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY CLERK <br />
