PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health met on November 28, 1989 at 7:00 A.M. <br />at the Holiday Inn. Board members present were: Dr. Bercher, Dr. Cutrell, Dr. <br />Srom, Rev. Evans, and Mrs. Ellis. Others present were: T.K. Haynes, Gene <br />Anderson, Lorrin Scott, Barbra Francis, and Sharon Seals. <br />Dr. Bercher opened the meeting at 7:19 A.M. The minutes were approved from <br />the previous meeting. <br />T.K. Haynes discussed information concerning a refund premium for Dr. Nancy <br />Gonzalez. She brought a copy of her policy to Mr. Haynes. It consisted of 3 <br />premiums, Internal Medicine Class 4 and Emergency Room at $ 6,218.00, <br />$ 4,945.00, and $ 4,965.00. We paid $ 8,400.00 for her insurance. It will <br />have to be determined if anything is to be refunded. Mr. Haynes read the let- <br />ter from the insurance company that provided Dr. Gonzalez's insurance. <br />Gene Anderson discussed liability insurance for Lorrin Scott. The city applied <br />for $ 100,000.00 - $ 300,000.00 premium at $ 1180.00. Dr. Cutrell made a motion <br />that we up this to $ 200,00.00 - $ 400,000.00. Dr. Bercher seconded the motion. <br />All were in favor. <br />Dr. Xavier decided against signing a contract to work with the Health Depart <br />ment. <br />Itorrin Scott told the board that we need to drop our present janitor and <br />hire someone who could work in our building maybe 3 days a week. Barbra Francis <br />mentioned that Wic would need 3 bids for Austin if we hire a new janitor. Dr. <br />Bercher made a motion that let the present janitor go and hire someone else. <br />Dr. Strom seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br />Lorrin Scott gave a report that 190 patients were seen since November 13, 1989. <br />We did 792 immunizations in October. The jail work is going smoothly. <br />Lorrin Scott and Barbra Francis left the meeting at 7:53 A.M. Then the closed: <br />session began. <br />Our next meeting was set for January 23, 1990 at 7:00 A.M. at the Holiday Inn. <br />This meeting was adjourned at 8:20 A.M. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Sharon J.
