Whether it would take a heavy duty
type person or not. Ron thinks it will. Mike Norby
suggested a Physicians office manager.
Ron Ragan suggested forming a personnel committee to look
at the current administrator. Dr. Cutrell suggested a
review committee other than from the Health Board.
Possibly getting a semi- retired or a retired consultant to
handle the start up of the Rural Health Clinic. Someone
to keep the ball rolling.
Evelyn Freeman asked if a motion could be made to the
Lamar County Health Board to take care of getting someone
to oversee the start up of the Rural Health Clinic and
payment of that person. To handle the administrative
duties. Dr. Cutrell seconded. All were in favor.
Discussion of what services will be offered. This will be
covered by what Nurse Practitioners we have.
Dr. Cutrell said that any interest by the County will
hinge on the continuing coverage at the jail. Dr. Cutrell
said he was trying to sure up and reassure Dr. Beachley
and taking care of the jail. Dr. Cutrell suggested
possibly trying to keep him on as long as he is doing a
good job and desires to stay. Evelyn Freeman said Mr.
Butler with the State is aware of this problem. Dr.
Cutrell said that the Health Board is looking and the jail
problem and thought it best to continue with Dr. Beachley.
Ron Ragan suggested to the rest of the work group that
they finish looking at the hand out with the agenda. Ron
also asked if there were any other items that needed
discussion before setting up the next meeting.
Time and place of the next meeting will be Thursday,
October 14, 1997- at 7:00 am in the Board Room and St.
Joseph's.
Ron made a motion that the meeting adjourned at 8:10.
Mike Norby seconded.
