Lamar County Rural Health Clinic Board Minutes of Meeting The Rural Health Clinic Board held a meeting November 03, 1993 at 7:00 AM at McCuiStion Hospital in the Gold Room. Those in attendance included Dr. Cutrell, Troy Owens, Evelyn Freeman, Gary Gunder, Julie Maddox" Mike Norby, Ann Norment and Jae Dickinson. Others in attendance included Monty McLaurzn, Dr. Robert Moseley, Dr. Strom, Gary Conwell, Raymond Armstrong, Betty Kildahl and Dr. Beachley. The meetznq was called to order at 7:15. The previous minutes were read, clarified and approved. Discussion was held regarding what the RHC Board wants to present to the Lamar County Health Board. Mike Norby handed out a list of recommendations. They were as follows. * Dr' Beachley be appointed as Medical Director of the Rura1 Health Clinic. This was agreed upon. * The RHC start out in the existing Health Department building until more space is needed. Evelyn told the Board that MR. Dombroski is researching the possibility of lease money. This was agreed upon. * Select personnel from the current Health Department attend the RHC Conference to be held November 18 and 19 in Dallas. Attendees will be sponsored by the Hospitals. They are Dr. Beachley, Kim Elsom, RN, Anthony Bethel, Jae Dickinson and Barbra Frances. This was agreed upon. * The RHC Board be authorized, within budget constraints, to oversee the employment of RHC personnel and recommend budgets for the operation of the RHC to the Paris-Lamar County Health Department. Dr. Cutrell saic things would work basically the same way they are now. He aI50 recommended getting something in writing sayinc that the City and County would remain involved on the RHC Board and on RHC committees- This was agreed upon, * One nurse practitioner be recruited as quickly as possible to be able to commence the operations of the RHC in early 1994. Julie Maddox said a nurse practitioner is coming to interview with the OB/Gyn physicians, Dr. Cutrell and Dr. Beachley on November 12. If anyone else would like to talk to her, please let Julie know as soon as possible so she can try to make time. This was agreed upon.
