PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health met Tuesday, July <br />21, 1992 at the Holiday Inn of Paris. Board members in <br />attendance were Dr. Cutrell, Ann Norment, Francis Ellis, <br />Dr. Kraft, Dr. Strom, Dr. Moseley. Others In attendance <br />included Troy Owens, Latricia Miller, Alan Weatherford, <br />T.K. Haynes, Gene Anderson, Mike Malone, and Anthony <br />Bethel. <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:55 am. Minutes from <br />the previous meeting were not read or approved. <br />Dr. Strom informed the board that Dr. Beachly had accepted <br />the position offered him at the Health Department, and <br />that Dr. Beachly could start working in two weeks. <br />The board suggested that Dr. Beachly communicate as <br />closely as possible with other local physicians, which was <br />not being done by Dr. Fetner. <br />The board discussed Dr. Fetner's offer for continued <br />employment as a physician at the Health Department. A <br />motion was made by Dr. Strom and seconded by Mrs. Ellis to <br />accept Dr. Fetner's letter of resignation. The board <br />approved this motion. Dr. Cutrell, Mrs. Norment, and T.K. <br />Haynes will meet with Dr. Fetner and advise her of the <br />board's decision. <br />Dr. Strom made a motion and Mrs. Norment seconded the <br />motion to authorize T.K. Haynes to draw up a contract for <br />$125,000.00 plus malpractice insurance to offer Dr. <br />Beachly. This motion was approved. Dr. Strom made a <br />motion and Mrs. Norment seconded the motion that in Dr. <br />Beachly's contract the insurance tail coverage should be <br />pro -rated as follows: The first year the Health <br />Department will pay 20% of the tail coverage. If Dr. <br />Beachly stays the second year, the Health Department will <br />pay 40% of the coverage. If Dr. Beachly stays the third <br />year, the Health Department will pay 60% of the coverage. <br />If Dr. Beachly stays the fourth year the Health Department <br />will pay 80% of the coverage, and if Dr. Beachly stays the <br />fifth ,year, the Health Department will pay 100% of the <br />coverage.
