Dr. Fetner mentioned that Paris Health Services is duplicat- <br />ing many of our same services. Dr. Strom stated they are a <br />fore - profit program and their Title XX money should run out <br />by October 1, 1992 and they will have to close their doors. <br />Dr. Beachley gave everyone a copy of his Curriculum Vitae. <br />He stated that he had spent half of his life in Paris and <br />would like to relocate here again. He and his wife now live <br />in Carrollton and work in Dallas. He said up front that he <br />has no plans to be on call for the jail 365 days a year. He <br />sees this job as challenging and believes in preventive med- <br />icine to save society money. His first question was when is <br />the starting date, if he should take the job. Dr. Strom said <br />we would discuss this later in executive session. Dr. Beachley <br />stated he would like to work at least 5 more years before re- <br />tiring. <br />T.K. Haynes said the health department doctor has never been <br />expected to see jail prisoners all hours of the night.
