PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES <br />The Paris -Lamar County Health Board met on May 12, 1992, at the Holiday Inn. <br />Board members present were: Dr. Cutrell, Mrs. Ann Norment, Dr. Wallace Kraft, <br />Dr. Robert Moseley, Mrs. Frances Ellis, and Dr. Bert Strom. Others present <br />were: T.K. Haynes, Billy Joe Burnett, Latricia Miller, Allan Weatherford, An- <br />thony Bethel, Michael Malone, and Sharon Seals. <br />Dr. Cutrell called the meeting to order at 7:10 A.M. <br />Minutes were approved from meeting on April 29, 1992. <br />Anthony Bethel asked if a couple of board members would look over the 1992- <br />1993 Budget this Thursday noon, May 14th, at the health department. It must <br />be turned in to City Hall on Friday. Region 7 office has money to pay for <br />mammograms, if the patients are referred by our clinic. These would be done <br />at both local hospitals. McCuistion has contacted us, but St. Joseph has not. <br />The mammograms are $ 55.00 each. A physician's assistant from Greenville <br />came over and toured the health department with Anthony Bethel. The health <br />department must apply thru Medicaid to establish a rural health district here. <br />Anthony talked with Dr. Gregg Skie about working full -time at the health de- <br />partment. He is interested, but would only stay a short term. The total spent <br />on Lorrin Scott, Dr. Lucy Fetner, and insurance totaled $ 87,679.00 last <br />year. <br />Dr. Strom suggested we select a sub - committee and talk about long -range <br />goals for the health department. Mrs. Norment, Dr. Strom, Billy Joe Burnett, <br />Michael Malone, Allan Weatherford, and Latricia Miller volunteered to meet <br />on Monday, May 18, 1992 at 6:30 P.M. at City Hall. T.K. Haynes suggested <br />that all existing cost factors be brought to this meeting. <br />The next health board meeting is scheduled for June 9, 1992, at 6:45 A.M. at <br />the Holiday Inn. <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:55 A,M, <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />
