PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />T,,e Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular <br />meeting on November 09, 1993. Those in attendance <br />included Dr. Cutrell, Dr. McLemore, Dr. Strom, Mrs. <br />Norment and Mrs. Ellis . Others in attendance included <br />Latricia Miller, Troy Owens, Gene Anderson, Dr. BeachIey, <br />Mike Norby, Anthony Bethel, Jae Dickinson, Amanda Holmes <br />and Barbra Frances. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:08. Minutes from the <br />previous meeting were read and approved. Dr. Strom made <br />the motion and Dr. Cutrell seconded. All were in favor. <br />Dr. Cutrell suggested reviewing the numbers from the jail <br />quarterly. <br />Mike Norby gave a report from the RHC Board. (see <br />attached recommendations) Dr. McLemore asked why there <br />was a need for an Administrator when Dr. Beachley will be <br />the Medical Director. Mr. Norby said it was needed <br />primarily to have a name to put into the Administrator <br />position on the application. <br />DzscussLon regarding proposed budget for the RHC. Anthony <br />is to get the average cost per visit for the month of <br />November for the next Board meeting. <br />Dr. Cutrell asked about Anthony not being mentioned in the <br />overv1ew. Mr. Norby said Anthony was seen as more of an <br />overseer of the Health Dept. and the RHC. Dr. Cutrell <br />said they would need to look at his duties and how it will <br />effect hi.s salary. <br />Dr. asked if the hospitals will pick up the other <br />$--4,000. Mr. Norby said yes and that the hospitals are <br />planning to follow-up with formaI letters to the Health <br />Dept. and the City and County. Mrs. Norment made a motion <br />to accept the recommendations from the RHC Board. Mrs. <br />El1is seconded. All were in favor. <br />Aothony gave a report about additional monies received for <br />a Nurse Educator. Anthony told the board that Dr. Crowder <br />in Tyler had helped us to get thi� position. Dr. Strom <br />said we need to send Dr. Crowder a letter of thanks. <br />Anthony said there were two options in filling this <br />pusition. <br />
