City Council Drainage Study Committee
April 2, 2001
Page 2
east to the loop. He said one of the projects that is in progress at this time
is just west of that, and on the west side of the road there is a drainage ditch
that comes back up Clement Road that actually parallels and goes towards
North Main Street. City Manager Malone said this is an area where the city
is working on the sanitary sewer, and the city is going to lay a new sewer
line down in the creek bottom. Terry Townsend pointed out that there are some small
project issues with that because of seepage, springs and surface water that
the residents were concern about on 22nd N. E. Mr. Townsend said they
were going to put an extension on top of the inlet that is currently in place
and raise that up. He also said they were going to add another inlet further
back to the north where there was a lot of water standing.
Project Number Four of the Master Plan is a ditch that is south of Lamar
Avenue running north and south behind 31s' Street S.
