City Council Drainage Study Committee
April 2, 2001
Page 3
is about to tip off of the ridge, it is not that ditch, but the big ditch that
small ditch connects to. The City Manager said everyone is aware of and
what they understand is most of the residents that live on both sides of that
ditch would not like to see it improved. City Manager Malone said what
the city would propose is to do some surveying, and it would be worthwhile
to go in there and see if there are any large trees that are obstructing the
ditch or diverting water where it might erode some homeowners yard. He said this would mean concreting and lining the ditch,
which would mean the ditch system from Lamar Avenue all the way to
Clarksville Street would be concrete lined, and much easier to maintain, but
as it was reported previously, the 24' Street priority, which the committee
has already made, is likely to take quite a bit of funding. City Manager
Malone said as our funding is limited, he would still recommend holding
