MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />March 4, 1974 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met at 7:00 o'clock P. M. , <br />on Monday, March 4, 1974s, in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, <br />Texas, and the following members were present: <br />1. Roy H. Anderson, Chairman <br />2. Clark Estes, Jr., Vice Chairman <br />3. Raymond T. Fuller <br />4. Al Cathcart <br />5. Herschel R. McKinney <br />6. Spencer Abbett <br />7. Homer Thornton <br />The Chairman, Roy H. Anderson, called the meeting to order <br />and took as the first item of business the petition of Innson Corporation, <br />to change from a Multiple Family Dwelling District No. I (MF -1) to an <br />Office District (0), Lot 6, City Block 219, and the public hearing was <br />opened. J. L. Myrick, Realtor, appeared on behalf of the Petitioner and <br />stated that. the proposed use was for an office building with parking for <br />80 cars. Mr. Myrick introduced Lloyd Innerarity of Midland.. Texas, <br />representing Innson Corporation, ation, owner and developer, and Mr. <br />Innerarity stated that Innson Corporation had been awarded a contract <br />as lessee of a building. for .expansion of Public Welfare Offices and <br />used for a portion of the food stamp distribution center.. Mr. <br />Innerarity presented a copy of the building plans for the use of the City. <br />Several interested persons appeared before the Commission. <br />Clifton Beard questioned provisions for drainage. The City Manager, <br />Kerry R. Sweatt, state that the Building Official would review plans <br />prior to the issuance of a building permit. The Chairman stated that <br />the Planning and . Zoning Commission would make planning recommen- <br />dations and a note Ito the Engineer. Herschel R. McKinney eked for <br />proof of contract with- Texas Building Commission, and Mr. Innerarity <br />promised a copy if required. Leon McCleary questioned the elevation <br />of the building. <br />After discussion, the ,motion was made by Homer Thornton, <br />with second by Al Cathcart, that the Commission recommend to the <br />City Council that the requested zoning be granted, provided that <br />drainage and run -off be sufficiently engineered, to protect adjoining <br />property owners. The motion passed unanimously,. <br />
