<br />MINUTES OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
<br />February 4, 1974
<br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met at 7:00 o'clock P. M. ,
<br />on Monday, February 4, 1974, in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
<br />Texas, and the following members were present:
<br />1. Clark Estes, Jr. , Vice Chairman

<br />7. Charlie Adkins
<br />The Vice Chairman, Clark Estes, Jr.,, called the meeting to order
<br />and took as the first item of business the petition of Douglas D. Carlow
<br />and Joseph Ryan, owners of Tract 1, and A R. Miller, owner of Tract
<br />2, to change Tracts 1 and 2 from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2
<br />(SF -2) to a One- Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2), Specific Use
<br />Permit,, Public and Private Utilities Unlisted (37), Tract 1 being Lots
<br />b, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 and 17, Block"1p Walker's First Addition, and
<br />Tract 2 being Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Walker's First Addition, and the
<br />public hearing was opened. The Secretary, T. K. Haynes, explained
<br />that Lot 17, Block 1, Walker's First Addition, was currently zoned
<br />Commercial, Specific .Use Permit, Public and Private Utilities Unlisted,
<br />No. 37, and did not require rezoning, even though it was included in
<br />the petition, and presented the Administration's recommendation for the
<br />requested zoning, with the exception of Lot 17, with the following re-
<br />nuirements:
<br />1. That a fence at least six (b) feet high of masonry-, solid
<br />ornamental, evergreen landscaping or a combination
<br />thereof, be constructed between the subject property and
<br />the adjacent residential district.
<br />2. That the area in front of the required screening wall or
<br />fence shall be maintained in a .clean and orderly condition
<br />free of weeds, debris and trash.
<br />3. That any lights used to illuminate the parking and storage
<br />area be arranged so as to reflect away from any adjacent
<br />residential uses or residential districts.
<br />4. That the required. fence must be set back at the North
<br />East Corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Walker's First Addition,
<br />for a clear sight zone consisting of a 20 foot triangulation
<br />measured bfrom the street _corner intersection of the pro-
<br />. pert lima.
