<br />absence of Secretary Westofal l , Joe 11cCol lum, Uirector of Commiunity Develop-
<br />ment was called upon to take minutes of the meeting.
<br />The first ord--r^ of busioess was 'to select a permanent Chairman due to the
<br />resignation of Ur. Felty. Dr. Brunette nominated F. D. Mallory for Chairman.
<br />Pir. Adkins seconded the nomionation. There were no other nominations. The
<br />vote was unanimous for Mr.. Mallory.
<br />The petition of Mr. dim 1400r°e as an appeal from the decision of the Building
<br />Irisp>ector with a request for exception and variance to the Zoning Ordinance,
<br />Section g: Scab- sections 101, 20:x, 301, x•01, 501 and 601 on Lot 8, Block 75 -A
<br />fronting on Provine Alley was takers up at this tine.
<br />T. K. Haynes, City Attorney, reviewed the case stating that the house was
<br />constru+:ted on pt ni is and was accidently discovered by the
<br />?Iai cr tlo.,.es, builder of the house, was told

<br />Jia,, N. Thornposn, representing Jim halter Nomes builder and Alrsteta Maxey, owner
<br />of the tsouse, presented a sketch indicating the house to have a front yard of
<br />15 feet and side yards of 2.5 feet. lie stated that the builder grade the mis-
<br />take in not taking ou-t- pernrits, but to move the louse would cause financial
<br />hardship to thf� owner.
<br />Photographs of the house and lot viere reviewed by the Board. Joe McCollum
<br />stated he and the Ffire Marshall had inspected the property and had taken the
<br />photographs. lie said the house was in line with the existing houses and there
<br />was roora betwieen houses to get to the back.
<br />During discussion of the matter it was pointed out that the house is being
<br />lived in without utilities and unfinished inside. The variances, if approved,
<br />would allow; the house to be finished and utilities connected.
<br />Mr. Adkins made a n=otion to approve the reggaes - subject to the following:
<br />1. Builder will secure grope its as required by Ordinance
<br />2. The Crouse, roihen co.mp3leied, shall greet the requirements of the
<br />Building Coops.
<br />Vr. surds seconded the motion and all members voted aye.
<br />There being no f!rther^ business to rouse before the Board of Adjustment, Dr.
<br />Brunette iaoved and, Mr. Adkins seconded, that the meeting be adjourned. The
<br />motion carried unanimously.
