Department 14 <br />�n� <br />Municipal Court - 7P M -691 <br />The Municipal Judge directs the activities of the Municipal Court Department which is <br />comprised of the Municipal Judge, the Municipal Court Clerk, and other clerical <br />assistants. The Municipal Court hears and makes decisions on all cases filed with the <br />Municipal Court Clerk over which the Municipal Court has jurisdiction. The Municipal <br />Judge is responsible for performing all duties of a Magistrate under the laws of the <br />State of T xas and ordinances of the City of Paris. <br />Department 43 <br />Parks and Recreation - page 3 <br />The Parks and Recreation Director / Main Street Director is the administrative officer for <br />this department. Personnel of this department are responsible for the planning,. <br />construction, programming, maintenance and administration of all parks, open spaces, <br />leisure facilities and leisure services. Recreational programs for all ages are planned, <br />promoted, and coordinated at City parks, Paris Independent School District facilities, <br />and the Paris Aquatic Center. The Main Street Program strives to improve the <br />attractiveness of the downtown area and attempts to expand community involvement in <br />downtown revitalization. <br />Department 61 <br />Cox Field Airport - page ,198 <br />The City Manager is the administrative officer responsible for this department. Cox <br />Field is the City owned and operated municipal airport. Airport facilities are maintained <br />for commercial and general aviation activities and are an important asset in promoting <br />business and industrial economic activity in the community. More than eighty percent <br />of flight operations at Cox Field are business related. The airport provides <br />transportation opportunities for the medical community and for several large <br />corporations that have plants in Paris. Cox Field Airport collects revenues from fuel <br />sales by the fixed base operator who leases space from the City and from the rental of <br />hangers. Most of the funding for maintenance of the facilities is provided by the Federal <br />Aviation Administration and by the Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation <br />Division. <br />
