Rescue Equipment
$ 7,270.00
This is an extensive list of equipment which virtually replaces all of the existing rope, and
harness equipment. It also adds a minor amount of new equipment that is needed for updated
technology and confined space rescue.
Following is a broad listing of the equipment.
Carabineers
250.00
Pulleys
205.00
Harness
1,500.00
Slings
20.00
Head lamps
170.00
Rope
2,315.00
Rope Bags
280.00
Hoist System
1,580.00
Riggers Plate
40.00
Water Rescue Throw Bags
65.00
Rope marking equipment
35.00
Sked Stretcher system
450.00
Escape system
360.00
Suction Units:
$3,500.00
This is the same suction used by EMS. The firemen are finding that they need the equipment
just as bad. The units are long lasting, very field dependable, and are an absolute life savor in
their own right. If we keep the units the same, it allows for the men from both agencies to
quickly utilize familiar equipment. It also allows an interchange when needed for maintenance.
The first responder program is working very well. We have the defibrilators, oxygen, and other
needs already answered. As this equipment completes the needs for this program, I support the
request 100% and wish it to be made a priority. The funds requested are for four units, one for
each of the engines and one on the rescue truck.
RESCUE BOAT, MOTOR AND TRAILER
$6,500.00
This will replace a very old boat that dates back to the 1950's or 60's. The old boat is a "V"
bottom, narrow, very unstable, and of little use. The motor is an antique, hard to maintain, very
poor in operation, and very non - dependable. This boat is not safe.
The new boat will be of a flat bottom design and easily maneuvered in small creeks lakes and
ponds. This boat will not replace our larger 1977 Skeeter deck boat, which is used on larger
lakes for body recovery and rescue. The new smaller boat will instead compliment it on the large
lakes and yet be considered better when working in different waters such as the creeks and ponds.
