q <br />Donnie Collard spoke in favor of the petition stating that he wants to make a used <br />car lot. Mr. Collard spoke of different types of commercial businesses that have <br />been located there and asked for approval from commission. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />9. Consideration of and action on the petition of Donnie Collard for a change in <br />zoning from a Neighborhood Service District (NS) to a Commercial District <br />(C) Lot 2A, City Block 235, being number 1212 N.W. 19th Street. <br />Motion was made to approve by Marshall Kent and seconded by Bobby Myers. <br />Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />10. Consideration of and action on recommendation of the Replat of Lot 2, City <br />Block 313, being number 3710 Lamar Avenue. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bobby Myers, subject to the City Engineer's <br />Memo dated October 5, 1998, seconded by Eva Flenniken. Motion carried by a <br />vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />11. Public Hearing on the petition to close that portion of 13th Street S.W. that <br />lies within the Southwest Industrial Park. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Scott Foster, City Attorney, spoke in favor of the petition, he explained closing of <br />the street and the need for this to be private. The street would only be used by We <br />Pack and the city would be removed from the responsibility of maintaining the <br />street. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />12. Consideration of and action on recommendation on the petition to close that <br />portion of 13th Street S.W. that lies within the Southwest Industrial Park. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bobby Myers and seconded by Marshall Kent. <br />Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Meeting adjourned at 6:15. <br />Steve Methven <br />
