The public hearing was declared open. <br />Mr. Terry Dulaney spoke in favor of the petition. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />15. Consideration of and action on the petition of Terry Dulaney for a site plan approval, <br />Lots 5, 6, & 7, Block 8, Spring Lake Addition, being number 210 N..Collegiate. <br />Motion was made to approve by Curtis Fendley and seconded by Mike Dangerfield subject <br />to the City Engineer's Memo dated June 30, 1999. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and <br />0 nays. <br />Motion was made by Bill Coleman and seconded by Louis Yates to excuse Curtis Fendley <br />from the meeting. <br />16. Consideration of and action on recommendation on the closing of 8th Street NE from <br />the north boundary line of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, north to the south boundary <br />line of Hickory Street. <br />Ms. Christa Cherry, representing Paris Housing Authority, explained that they want to put <br />up gates to limit access from outsiders to complex. She has talked with Paris Independent <br />School District and Mr. Murkes Fulbright who owns property across the street, neither <br />objects to the street closing. Gates will be operated with a key card. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bill Coleman and seconded by Louis Yates with compliant <br />of fire code. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />17. Consideration of and action on recommendation on the closing of Brame Street from <br />the east boundary line of 9" Street SW, west to the west boundary line of 10th Street <br />SW, Chism Street from the west boundary line of 7" Street SW, west to the east <br />boundary line of 10" Street SW; 9th Street SW, from the north boundary line of Chism <br />Street, north of the south boundary line of Brame Street; and 10' Street SW; from the <br />north boundary line of Washington Street north to the south boundary line of Brame <br />Street. <br />Ms. Christa Cherry, for George W. Wright Homes, explained that the entrance would be at <br />7`t' SW at Chisum. Ms. Cherry has talked with most of the neighborhood residents and they <br />all are in favor of the street closing. Skipper Steely was present and stated his support. <br />Mike Dangerfield suggested a second gate at 10th SW and Washington. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bill Coleman and seconded by Louis Yates with compliant <br />of fire code. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m. <br />Earl Smith <br />
