Mayor Fisher called for opponents to appear, none appeared. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development advised the Council <br />that he had received a telephone called for J. M. Fisher stating he was <br />not opposed to someone living there if they owned the property. <br />No one else appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion wa.s made by Councilman Booth, seconded by Councilman Bell to <br />table action on this item. <br />After further discussion Councilman Booth and Councilman Bell withdrew <br />their motion and second. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. <br />1710 changing the zoning from a Two Family Dwelling District to a One <br />Family Dwelling District No. 3 and Specific, Use Permit - Mobile Home on <br />Lot 9, Gibbons Braden Addition. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open to consider the petition <br />of Carles Sterling for a change in zoning from a Commercial District <br />(C). to a Commercial District (C) and Specific Use Permit - Billboard Sign <br />(52) on Lot 2, City Block 320 located at 2680 N. E. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open on the petition of Mary <br />Hurd and others for an amendment to Ordinance No. 90 -020 to allow a <br />minimum front building line of ten (10) feet on Lots 1 -18, Block A and <br />Lots 1 -19, Block B of the Cedar Park Subdivision located on 40th S. E. <br />North of Loop 286 S. E. <br />City Attorney advised that this item may be unclear, and explained that <br />the request was for a 10 foot building line for open carports and a 25 <br />foot building line for residences. <br />City Manager Malone told the Council the the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission had recommended approval of the petition with a deed <br />restriction limiting structures in front of the building line <br />established by existing houses to open carports only. <br />'¢ "` <br />
