A motion was made by Councilman Burnett to instruct City Staff to get <br />with the owner of Mirabeau Square Shopping Center to see if they want <br />to leave the ditch as it is, or if they move the ditch to screen it <br />from the property owners to the west. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Shelton and carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Bell to <br />bring from the table Item No. 12, Consideration of and action on <br />authorizing the preparation of an ordinance abandoning the Old Paris - <br />Clarksville Road from a point approximately 500 feet east of 34th S. E. <br />and Clarksville Street intersection, east of Loop 286 S. E. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett to instruct City Staff to <br />request from the Texas Highway Department a donation of their portion <br />of the Old Paris - Clarksville Road to the City of Paris including the <br />park. The motion was seconded by Councilman Shelton, and carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for rezoning: <br />Toby Yoder, Lot 5, City Block 235 -A from SF -3 & NS District to Light <br />Industrial District; Marshall Moran, 2810 E. Cherry, West 1/2 of Lots <br />6, 7, & 8, Block 4, Springlake Addition, from SF -2 District to SF -2 and <br />Specific Use Permit Day Care Center (25) District; William H. Curry, <br />Jr., Lot 22, City Block 323 (2755 N. W. 19th), from Agricultural <br />District to Commercial District; Helen J. Franks, 531 Brown Avenue, <br />Part of Lot 2, Block 3 of Locust Hill Addition, from 2F District to <br />SF -3 and Specific Use Permit Mobile Home (39) District; Mose Ingram, <br />Lots 3 & 4, City Block 201 (2224 Bonham), from General Retail and SF -2 <br />District to Light Industrial District; Mike Smith, Lots 4, 5, & 6, <br />Block B, Wynnwood Addition, from Site Plan approval in a Planned <br />Development Retail (PD -a) District. <br />Mayor Fisher referred the petitions for zoning changes to the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission for their study and recommendations, and called <br />for a public hearing at the April meeting before the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission and the City Council. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />GE RGE SHER, MAYOR, CITY OF PARIS <br />ATTEST: <br />, *.- 1� V�' <br />I C NINGHAM, CITY CLERK <br />
