_ 2 Only college degree with a major in any engineering discipline eligible for <br />registration as a professional engineer or in chemistry, biology, <br />bacteriology, or other similar disciplines. <br />3 Experience Substitutions. One year of college (32 semester hours) or an <br />additional 40 hours of wastewater training credit may be substituted for <br />one year of experience. ( ) indicates maximum number of years of <br />experience permitted for substitution. <br />4 Training Credit - Designated Courses ' <br />Until September 1, 1991, the following 20 -hour courses or their equivalent <br />are required for the Class levels (A -D) for wastewater treatment plant <br />operators: <br />Class A Wastewater: Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, <br />Wastewater Laboratory and Management. <br />Class B Wastewater: Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, <br />Wastewater Laboratory. <br />Class C Wastewater: Basic Wastewater Operation and either <br />Wastewater Treatment or Wastewater Collection. <br />Class D Wastewater: Basic Wastewater Operation. <br />Effective BerginniD9 September 1, 1991, the following 20 -hour courses or <br />their equivalent are required for the Class levels (A -D) for wastewater <br />treatment plant operators: <br />Class A Wastewater: Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, <br />— Wastewater Laboratory, Water Utility <br />Management, and either Water Utility Safety, <br />Utility Calculations or Advanced Wastewater <br />Laboratory. <br />Class B Wastewater: Wastewater Treatment, Wastewater Collection, <br />Wastewater Laboratory, and either Water Utility <br />Safety, Utility'-Calculations, Water Utility <br />Management or Advanced Wastewater Laboratory. <br />Class C Wastewater: Basic Wastewater Operation, Wastewater <br />Treatment, and either Water Utility Safety, <br />Utility Calculations, Wastewater Collection or <br />Wastewater Laboratory. <br />Class D Wastewater: Basic Wastewater Operation (plus either <br />Wastewater Treatment, Water Utility Safety or <br />Utility Calculations for 40 -hour requirement). <br />Effective beginning June 1, 1990, the following 20 -hour courses or their <br />equivalent are required for the Class levels II and I for collection system <br />operators: <br />Class II: Wastewater Collection, Basic Wastewater Operation, and <br />either Water Utility Safety or Pump and Motor <br />maintenance. <br />Class I: Wastewater Collection (plus Basic Wastewater Operations <br />for 40 -hour requirement). <br />TRA-INIW3 <br />Credit is given for attendance at approved wastewater training courses, <br />including Annual and Regional TMA Short Schools on the basis of one credit per <br />E <br />• <br />-, � <br />' <br />. •t <br />c \t fir.. <br />S <br />t; �t 8�'� <br />- <br />r <br />
