Page 2
City Council Minutes
2/6/92
Councilman W. E. (Bill) Booth entered the Council chambers and assumed
his seat at the Council table.
City Attorney Haynes said that in regard to the above three petitions
for zoning changes, they should be referred as usual for public
hearings before the Planning and Zoning Commission, and before the City
Council at it's Planning and Zoning Meeting. City Attorney Haynes
further advised that in regard to the amendment to City Ordinance No.
90 -020, establishing a Specific Use Permit— Community Unit Development
in a One Family Dwelling District No. 2, to allow a minimum front
building line of ten (10) feet, he did not know if that would be
permitted under the Ordinance, and if it is not permitted, there would
not be any need for a public hearing on this request. City Attorney
Haynes told the Council if it was their desire to have an amendment to
the ordinance that would do what Ms. Hurd is asking for, it might be
appropriate to hold a public hearing on the amendment. City Attorney
suggested that he research this matter and report back to the Council
Monday night as to what the appropriate action would be on Ms. Hurd's
petition, and if it needs to be referred, then the Council can do so
Monday night.
Mayor Fisher referred the three petitions for zoning changes to the
Planning and Zoning Commission for their study and recommendations, and
called for a public hearing at the March meeting before the Planning
and Zoning Commission and the City Council.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
G RGE SHE , MAYOR, CITOF PA RIS
ATTEST:
