is setting culverts, ditches, and after that is completed they would <br />like to concentrate on the pier. <br />Mayor Fisher advised that no action could be taken tonight, but if the <br />two groups would get together with the City Manager and City Staff, <br />then the City would proceed from there. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open to consider the petition <br />of Marie Rushing for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 2 (SF -2) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to <br />a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) and Specific Use Permit -Day <br />Care (25) on Lot 7, Block 1, Meadow Place Addition located at 945 <br />Jefferson Rd. <br />Mayor Fisher called for proponents to appear, and Marie Rushing, 945 <br />New Jefferson Road, appeared before the Council in behalf of her <br />petition, stating that she plans to operate a Group Day Home for eight <br />children..in her residence, and she was licensed by the State. <br />Mayor Fisher called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />.p.ublic.hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilwoman Smith <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. <br />1710 changing the zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a <br />One Family Dwelling District No. 2 - Specific Use Permit -Day Care on <br />Lot 7 Block 1, Meadow Place Addition, to be presented at the next <br />regular Council meeting. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open to consider the petition <br />of B. V. Watson for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 3 (SF -3) to a One Family Dwelling District and Specific <br />Use Permit - Mobile Home (39) on Lot 4, Block 1, Few Addition located at <br />1321 N. W. 18th Street. <br />Mayor Fisher called for proponents to appear, and Dale Moore, Blossom, <br />Texas, appeared in behalf of the petitioner, stating that Mr. Watson <br />was his father -in -law, and they wanted to replace the existing frame <br />house at this location with a mobile home. He said the house was not <br />in very good condition, that the mobile home would be an improvement. <br />Mayor Fisher called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Bell <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance changing the zoning from a One <br />Family Dwelling District No. 3 to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 <br />and Specific Use Permit - Mobile Home on Lot 4, Block 1, Few Addition, to <br />be presented at the next regular Council meeting. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the Public hearing open to consider the petition <br />of John Travis for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />
