A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Ingram to table action on the Final Plat of Lots 13 and 14, City Block <br />311 pending an amendment to correct the location of an access and <br />utility easement. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton <br />to table action on the Final Plat of Lot 4, City Block 341 until a <br />preliminary plat providing for utilities extension is submitted. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />There were no referrals for January. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing open on property determined by <br />the Building Hazard Inspection Committee to be a fire hazard and /or <br />dilapidated or dangerous structure and /or a nuisance. <br />Mayor Fisher called for anyone who would like to speak regarding any of <br />the properties listed in the report. There was no one who present to <br />speak for or against any of the properties listed. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development, read a letter from Mr. <br />Lawrence Liggins regarding the property located at 543 1st Street N. <br />E., requested additional time to repair the house. Mr. McCollum <br />advised the Council that Mr. Liggins did not live in Paris, and was <br />unable to attend the public hearing. <br />Councilman Bell requested that no action be taken on Item No. 24, 1334 <br />Bonham Street as this property is under contract, and if all goes well <br />the property will be sold. <br />Mr. McCollum `advised that the gentleman who is trying to purchase the <br />property is in the audience, and he was at the meeting of the Building <br />Hazard Inspection Committee, and the Committee made a recommendation to <br />give 60 days to transfer the property, and submit plans of repair to <br />get under way. <br />No one else appeared before the Council, and the public hearing was <br />declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Burnett <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance declaring certain structures to <br />be hazardous and the disposition of the same, with the exception of <br />Item No. 21 being given an additional 90 day for repairs. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Shelton, seconded by Councilman Burnett <br />to bring Item No. 8, public hearing to consider the petition of John <br />Travis from change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />to a Neighborhood Service District on Lots 25 and 26, Block 3, Mayer <br />Addition located at 50 N. W. 32nd Street. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />Mayor Fisher reopened the public hearing, and called for anyone who <br />wish to speak for or against the petition to come forward. <br />
