Mr. John Travis, Route 3, Box 602, Idabel, Oklahoma, came forward <br />telling the Council that this location is currently a church structure, <br />and he would like to change it to an office location. Mr. Travis said <br />he has a full service water treatment service, and would like to use <br />the office space. Mr. Travis also advised that he has a contract to <br />purchase the property pending the zoning change. <br />Mr. McCollum told the Council that the recommendation of the Planning <br />and Zoning Commission was Office Zoning instead of Neighborhood <br />Service. Mr. McCollum advised that a Neighborhood Service <br />classification was requested because of the existing Neighborhood <br />Service zoning adjacent to the property on the south side, and that <br />office use was permitted in that district. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the public hearing closed, and called .for a <br />motion from the Council. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded, by Councilwoman <br />Ingram to bring Item No. 9, consideration of and action authorizing the <br />preparation of an ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 changing <br />the zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a Neighborhood <br />Service District on Lots 25 and 26, Block 3, Mayor Addition, from the <br />table. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett authorizing preparation of an <br />ordinance changing the zoning from a One family dwelling District No. 2 <br />to an Office District on Lots 25 and 26, Block 3, Mayer Addition, to be <br />presented at the next regular Council meeting. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Shelton, and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Fisher announced that the Council would go into executive <br />session, and declared the regular session closed, and the executive <br />session open at 6:43 P. M., January 9, 1992. <br />Legal matters were discussed with City Attorney Haynes. <br />Mayor Fisher declared the executive session closed, and the regular <br />session open at 7:24 P.
