MINUTES OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />JANUARY 6, 1992 <br />The Planning.and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris, Texas met <br />in regular session Monday, January 4, 1992 at 5:30 P.M. in the <br />Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas with the following members <br />present: <br />1. Ronnie Nutt - Chairman 5. Barbara Gann <br />2. Nadine Ausbie 6. Jerry Newberry <br />3. Eric Clifford 7. Gerald Powell <br />4. Curtis Fendley <br />Also present were Earl Smith, City Engineer and Joe McCollum, <br />Director of Community Development. <br />Chairman Nutt called the meeting to order and welcomed Curtis <br />Fendley, Barbara Gann and Gerald Powell as new members of the <br />Commission. <br />Chairman Nutt declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Marie Rushing for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 2 (SF -2) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF- <br />2) and Specific Use Permit -Day Care (25) on Lot 7, Block 1, Meadow <br />Place Addition located at 945 Jefferson Road. <br />Ms. Rushing told the Commission of her plans to operate a Group Day <br />Home for eight children in her residence. She said that all the <br />necessary inspections had been made on her home and she would be <br />licensed by the State. She also said that she had ten years <br />experience in the child care field. <br />No one else was present to speak for or against the petition and <br />the public hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Newberry made a motion to recommend approval of the petition. <br />Mr. Clifford seconded the motion which carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Nutt declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />B.V. Watson for a .change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No.-3 (SF -3) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF- <br />3) and Specific Use Permit- Mobile Home (39) on Lot 4, Block 1, Few <br />Addition located at 1321 N.W. 18th Street. <br />Dale Moore, son in law of Mr. Watson, told the Commission of the <br />family's desire to replace the existing frame house at this <br />location with a mobile home. He said the house was not in good <br />enough condition to repair. He pointed out that there were mobile <br />homes adjacent to Mr. Watson's property now. <br />
