The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for one Paper <br />Shredder, and the following bids were presented: <br />Office Equipment Center $1,696.00 <br />Business Equipment Sales & Supply $1,841.72 <br />Uarco Inc. $3,195.00 <br />Copy Products, Inc. No Bid <br />City Manager Malone advised that it was the recommendation of the City <br />Clerk, Mattie Cunningham, to accept the low bid of Office Equipment <br />Center, which meets all specifications. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by Councilman Kent to <br />award the bid for one paper shredder to Office Equipment Center in the <br />amount of $1,696.00. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for printing Account <br />Payable Checks- for the City of Paris, and the following bids were <br />presented: <br />Superior Graphics $66.30 per 1000 <br />Uarco $83.00 per 1000 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Kent to <br />award the bids for printing Account Payable Checks to Superior Graphics <br />in the amount of $66.30 per 1,000. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for construction <br />of a 7 Unit Nested T- Hanger and associated paving and other appurtenant <br />construction, complete in place, and the following bids were presented: <br />Richard Drake Construction $148,943.00 <br />Spencer Construction $160,816.00 <br />Jerry Stephens Construction $168,425.73 <br />Gary Hilliard Construction $174,132.00 <br />Harrison Walker'& Harper $204,884.00 <br />Bill Hazelwood, Inc. $209,560.00 <br />City Manager Malone advised that the recommendation of Dick Boots, <br />Director of Community Facilities and Earl Smith, City Engineer, was to <br />award the bid to Richard Drake Construction in the amount of <br />$148,943.00 which exceeds the budgeted amount by $13,943.00, and <br />execute a change order to delete concrete apron paving and substitute <br />6" compacted aggregate base and 1 112" compacted hot mixed asphalt <br />concrete surface course. The change order would allow a deduction of <br />$14,754.00 making the cost equal to $134,189.00. <br />City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for materials and <br />labor for -the installation of carpet and tile in the Paris Police and <br />Courts Building, and the following bids were presented: <br />
