No Bid City Manager Malone advised that it was the recommendation of the City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham, to accept the low bid of Office Equipment Center, which meets all specifications. City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for construction of a 7 Unit Nested T- Hanger and associated paving and other appurtenant construction, complete in place, and the following bids were presented: Richard Drake Construction $148,943.00 Spencer Construction $160,816.00 Jerry Stephens Construction $168,425.73 Gary Hilliard Construction $174,132.00 Harrison Walker'& Harper $204,884.00 Bill Hazelwood, Inc. $209,560.00 City Manager Malone advised that the recommendation of Dick Boots, Director of Community Facilities and Earl Smith, City Engineer, was to award the bid to Richard Drake Construction in the amount of $148,943.00 which exceeds the budgeted amount by $13,943.00, and execute a change order to delete concrete apron paving and substitute 6" compacted aggregate base and 1 112" compacted hot mixed asphalt concrete surface course. The change order would allow a deduction of $14,754.00 making the cost equal to $134,189.00. City Manager Malone called for tabulations of bids for materials and labor for -the installation of carpet and tile in the Paris Police and Courts Building, and the following bids were presented:
