A motion was made by Councilman Clifford to put the line up to the meter <br />and take no further action. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kent <br />and failed with 3 ayes, 3 nays. <br />After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Clifford, <br />seconded by Councilman Wortham for the City to extend an 811 line to the <br />water meter treating the lot as having no water service. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett called for comparison of operation of City Tax Department <br />in collecting ad valorem taxes versus Lamar County Tax Appraisal <br />District. Councilman Clifford requested that a contract for Lamar County <br />Appraisal District to collect ad valorem taxes for the City of Paris be <br />prepared and presented at the next regular council meeting. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the Council would go into executive session, <br />and declared the regular session closed. <br />Legal matter were discussed with the City Attorney. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the executive session closed, and the regular <br />session open. <br />There being no further business, <br />ATTEST: <br />MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY <br />the meeting adjourned. <br />i <br />: <br />
