Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />Councilman Clifford made a motion approving the site plan and called <br />for preparation of an Ordinance to be presented at the next regular <br />council meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kent and <br />carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on a change in zoning <br />from an Office District (0) and Planned Development - Office District <br />(PD -f) to a Planned Development Retail District (PD -a) on Lots 22 -A, <br />23, 24, 24 -A, 25, 25 -A and 2.6, City Block 249; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, <br />and 9, City Block 285; Lot 8, City Block 286; Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, <br />City Block 289; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12, City Block 296; <br />and Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block 1, Hayes Heights Addition located <br />on both sides of Lamar Avenue between 30th N. E. and 33rd S. E. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear, and Mr.- Buryl <br />Whitaker, 2960 Clark Lane, owner of property at 3215 and 3225 Lamar, <br />appeared before the Council stating that he was in favor of the <br />zoning change. <br />Sid Hollingsworth, 4725 Nall Rd., Dallas, Texas, appeared before the <br />Council telling the Council that he has contracted to construct an <br />Arby's at 3235 Lamar Ave, and would like to see the zoning change. <br />R. P. Woodby, 3165 Abbott, appeared before the council stating that <br />he was also in favor of the zoning change. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, none appeared, and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Bone, seconded by <br />Councilman Clifford for approval of the zoning change and called for <br />the preparation of an Ordinance to be presented at the next regular <br />council meeting. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open to consider a change <br />in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to appropriate zoning <br />classification on properties included in the 105.62 acre tract of <br />land annexed by Ordinance No. 87 -084 located in the vicinity of F. M. <br />79 and 19th N.
