6 f� <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87 -034 <br />WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the <br />City Council of the City of Paris that there is an alley, <br />beginning at the South boundary line of Kaufman Street and <br />running South for approximately 154.3 feet, sometimes <br />referred to as 4th Street S. E. and sometimes referred to as <br />an alley; and, <br />WHEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the <br />City Council that the alley is not desired by the property <br />owner adjacent to said alley, but that said alley is of use <br />and necessary to t he City of Paris and its citizens for <br />utility easement purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe <br />Burnett, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute a quit <br />claim deed to the alley being closed to the adjacent owners <br />on either side of said alley, it appearing that First <br />Baptist Church is the sole and only property owner adjacent <br />to said alley; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris retain a <br />utility easement in the area to be described in the above <br />described quit claim deeds. . <br />Passed and adopted this 30th day of March, 1987. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mayor <br />Mattie Cunningham, Cit er <br />APPROVED AS-,TO FORM: <br />ynes, city Attorney <br />
