Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Kelly Miles for a change in zoning fran a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Light Industrial District (LI) on Lot 2, City Block 301, and Lot 2, .City Block 305 located on West Campbell Street east of 27th N. W. Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Bo Miles, P.O. Box 614, Paris, Texas, appeared stating that he represented 3M Properties, and they planned to develop the 19 acres of land in the two tracts into a 92 space mobile home park. Mr. Miles spoke of the need for a mobile hcme park of this size for Paris. Mr. Miles told the Council that the average lot size would be 55' x 100', there would be concrete streets, landscaping, laundramat, and a day -care center. Mr. Miles pointed out that approximately $20,000.00 in tax revenue could be received by the City from the Mobile Hcme Park. John Paul Brown, 725 27th N. W. appeared before the Council stating that he had lived in that area for twenty years and was in opposition to the zoning change. Dee Houston appeared before the Council opposing the zoning change stating that a mobile home was not needed. Evelyn Brown, 715 27th N. W., Thomas Johnson, 2510 W. Campbell, Frankie White, 705 27th N. W. also appeared before the Council opposing the zoning change. A motion was made by Councilman Northam to deny the zoning change. The motion was seconded by Councilman Folmar and carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Mrs. W. F. Jesse for a change in zoning from a Two - Family Dwelling District (2F) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lot 2, City Block 254, located at 2030 Clarksville Street. Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear, and none appeared. Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear and Don McLaughlin, 2152 Clarksville appeared before the Council stating that this is a residential area and he was representing not only himself, but other area residents. Mr. McLaughlin urged the Council to accept the reccmwndation of the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny the zoning change. Cahterine Carrington, 2141 Clarksville appeared before the Council opposing the zoning change. James Wright, 805 20th S. E., appeared before the Council stating that he objected to the zoning change and cited other business in the area that effected the area residents, and requested denial of the zoning change.
