MINUTES OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />APRIL 6, 1987 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met in regular session Monday, April 6, <br />1987, at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, with the <br />following members present: <br />1. <br />Freddy Swaim, Chairman <br />4. <br />Jacob Hildreth <br />2. <br />Bill Davidson <br />5. <br />Bruce McMonigle <br />3. <br />Ozzie Battle <br />6. <br />Kyle Perry <br />Also present were City Attorney, T.K. Haynes, Richard Babb, Interim City <br />Engineer and Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development. <br />Chairman Swaim called the meeting to order and the minutes of March 2, 1987, <br />were approved as presented. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open and continued on the petition <br />of Sammy Short for a Site Plan amendment in a Planned Development - Shopping <br />Center District (PD -a) on Lot 5, City Block 205, located on the Southwest corner <br />of Bonham Street and 19th S.W. <br />Mr. Short presented his amended Site Plan indicating the northeast corner of <br />his property as lease space for the sale of used cars. <br />There was no one else present to speak on the matter and the public hearing <br />was closed. <br />Following discussion with the City Attorney verifying that the use of the <br />property was in order, a motion was made by Mr. Davidson, seconded by Mr. <br />Hildreth, to recommend approval of the Site Plan . The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Swaim next declared the public hearing open and continued on the <br />petition of Benny Lovell for a change in zoning from a Commercial District <br />(C) to a Commercial District (C) and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales (49) <br />on Lot 5, City Block 307, located on the west side of North Main Street between <br />DeShong Drive and Stone Avenue. <br />Mr. Lovell was present saying that he represented the property owner who pro- <br />poses to develop the tract of land with a convenience store with service islands <br />for fuel sales. <br />No one else was present to speak on the matter and the public hearing was closed. <br />Mr. McCollum advised that the property was already zoned Commercial but required <br />the Specific Use Permit to sell fuel. <br />z � <br />
