MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MmTngG OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />April 15, 1987 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met <br />Wednesday, April 15, 1987, 7:00 P. M. in the <br />Hall. Mayor Billy J. Burnett called the meet: <br />following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, <br />Folmar, Jeff Hoog, Bill Bone, and Addie Bufford. <br />Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. <br />Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />in Regular session, <br />Council roan of City <br />ing to order with the <br />Travis Wortham, Mike <br />Also present was City <br />K. Haynes, and City <br />Mayor Burnett called for tabulations of bids for two submersible, <br />electric motor driven, close -- coupled vertical pumps, and the following <br />bids were presented: <br />Pumps & Power Equipment $5,382.00 ABS Pumps <br />Dallas, Texas <br />Smith Pump Co. $3,850.00 Hydrematic Pump <br />Hurst, Texas <br />York Pump & Equipment $3,465.00 FLYGT <br />Longview, Texas <br />Pumps & Power Co. $2,962.21 HONE <br />Eldorado, Ark. <br />William D. King, Jr., Director of Utilities, appeared before the <br />Council and stated that he had contacted the suppliers to determine if <br />delivery time could be shortened due to the failure of temporary <br />repairs to the City Yard Lift Station on Monday. Mr. King told the <br />Council that he was unable to contact Pump & Power Equipment Co., but <br />the other three suppliers could have the pumps on site no latex than <br />Wednesday April 22nd. Mr. King gave a brief description of each type <br />of pump that was bid, and in summary, none of the deviations frcin <br />specifications seems to be a reason for rejection of any of the bids. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by <br />Councilman Hoog to accept the bid of York Pump and Equipment in the <br />amount of $3,465.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett called for the tabulations of bids for Wastewater Sludge <br />Disposal System Transmission pipeline and irrigation equipment, and the <br />following bids were presented: <br />R & K Energy $65,494.74 <br />Mt. Pleasant, Texas <br />B. Bray Construction _$79,019.55 <br />Paris, Texas <br />Bill -Mik $87,824.70 <br />Keller, Texas J <br />
