MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MmTngG OF THE CITY COUNCIL April 15, 1987 The City Council of the City of Paris met Wednesday, April 15, 1987, 7:00 P. M. in the Hall. Mayor Billy J. Burnett called the meet: following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Folmar, Jeff Hoog, Bill Bone, and Addie Bufford. Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. Haynes, and City Mayor Burnett called for tabulations of bids for two submersible, electric motor driven, close -- coupled vertical pumps, and the following bids were presented: Pumps & Power Equipment $5,382.00 ABS Pumps Dallas, Texas Smith Pump Co. $3,850.00 Hydrematic Pump Hurst, Texas York Pump & Equipment $3,465.00 FLYGT Longview, Texas Pumps & Power Co. $2,962.21 HONE Eldorado, Ark. William D. King, Jr., Director of Utilities, appeared before the Council and stated that he had contacted the suppliers to determine if delivery time could be shortened due to the failure of temporary repairs to the City Yard Lift Station on Monday. Mr. King told the Council that he was unable to contact Pump & Power Equipment Co., but the other three suppliers could have the pumps on site no latex than Wednesday April 22nd. Mr. King gave a brief description of each type of pump that was bid, and in summary, none of the deviations frcin specifications seems to be a reason for rejection of any of the bids. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Hoog to accept the bid of York Pump and Equipment in the amount of $3,465.00. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett called for the tabulations of bids for Wastewater Sludge Disposal System Transmission pipeline and irrigation equipment, and the following bids were presented: R & K Energy $65,494.74 Mt.
