F <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community, told the Council that no action <br />was necessary of Item No. Seven as the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />had table the matter. <br />Mr. McCollum presented the Final Plat of Voorhies Estates. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Kent, seconded by Councilman Clifford to table <br />action on this item. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petition for rezoning: <br />Earl Jetton, Lot 4, Block A, East Park Addition, from SF -3 District to <br />Commercial District; W. R. Abbott, Lot 1 -B, City Block 109 from MF -1 <br />District to Office District; Dorcy Mackey, Chairman, Property Committee <br />for the First Baptist Church, Lots 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 1.2, 13, <br />14, and the South part of Lot 5, City Block 182, north side of E. <br />Austin Street east of 3rd S. E. from MF -1 District to Commercial <br />District. <br />Mayor Burnett referred the petitions to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for their study and recommendations and called for a public <br />hearing at the next regular Council meeting. <br />Mayor Burnett announced that the Council was in receipt of a report <br />from the Building Hazard Inspection Committee. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on property determined <br />by the Building Hazard Inspection Committee to be a fire hazard and /or <br />dilapidated or dangerous structure and /or a nuisance. <br />there was no one to speak for or against the properties, and the public <br />hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Clifford, seconded by Councilman <br />Fendley accepting the findings of the Building Hazard Inspection <br />Committee. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that they had received a list <br />of members on Boards and Commissions appointed by the City Council <br />showing the expiration of the members term. <br />Mayor Burnett asked the Council to give any names of people they would <br />like to be appointed to any of the Boards or Commissions. to the City <br />Manager's secretary. <br />City Manager Malone reported on the Indigent Health Care Act which if <br />passed would exempt the City from any obligations. <br />City Manager Malone told the Council that he had received a request <br />from Jeff Hoog for assistance in cleaning the tennis courts at the <br />Paris Golf and Country Club in preparation for the Dough Kershaw <br />Celebrity Golf and Tennis Tournament.
