Mr. <br />Hildreth seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of G.R. Millsap <br />for a change in zoning from a One- Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a <br />Two - Family Dwelling District (2F) on Lot 5 -A, City Block 316, located at 970 <br />31st N. E. <br />Mr. Millsap told the Commission he had built a 468 sq. ft. building behind <br />his house and had converted it to a small house which his mother had lived <br />in until he was instructed by the City to stop using it as a residence. He <br />said he requested the zoning in order to legally use it as a residence for <br />his mother. <br />Darvis Davison, 1060 31st N.E., stated he was not opposed to the structure <br />being used as a residence for Mr. Millsap's mother, but he was upset because <br />both sturctures are on septic systems and he felt like the septic system for <br />the small house had not been installed in a proper manner. He also complained <br />that the Millsaps parked in the street making it difficult to get in and out <br />of his property and blocking the postman from his mailbox. <br />Mr. Millsap agreed to connect his residence to the City sewer main and if <br />the small house could not be connected to the sewer, he would make the field <br />lines of the septic system conform to code requirements. <br />Chairman Swaim closed the public hearing and discussion followed. <br />Mr. Nutt made a motion to recommend approval of the zoning change subject to <br />the correction of the sanitary sewer services as agreed to by Mr. Millsap. <br />Mr. Hildreth seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of Lot 1, City Block 218 -A was tabled on a motion by Mr. <br />Davidson, seconded by Mr. McMonigle. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of Voorhies Estates, located in the extra territorial area <br />of the City was tabled for further review by the City Engineer. Motion to <br />table was made by Mr. Nutt, seconded by Mr. McMonigle and carried 6 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />There being no further business to.consider, the meeting was adjourned. <br />-n <br />oe N.
