t 1,33 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL May 11, 1987 The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday, May 11, 1987, 7:00 P. M., Council Chambers of City Hall. Mayor Billy J. Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Curtis Fendley, Travis Wortham, Marshall H. Kent, Jr., Eric S. Clifford, Bill Bone, and Addie Bufford. Also present was City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk. Prayer was offered by Reverent Earnest McCool, Minister of the Free Gospel Church. Mayor Burnett asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meeting, there being none, the minutes were approved as presented. City Attorney Haynes advised the Council that they had been furnished copies of the minutes of the Traffic Commission, and the Airport Advisory Board, and advised that no action was needed. Councilman Clifford reported that repairs were needed on some of the buildings at the Airport, Councilman Clifford also reported that he had been in contact with FAA regarding the refueling Ordinance, that they were not in a position to recommend an Ordinance at this time, but they had a large number of ordinances that has been sent in by other cities that might be more in order than what we currently have.- Alton Dockery, Manager of Lamar County Water Supply District, Route 1, Brookston, Texas, appeared before the Council asking for permission to connect to the City of Paris' 33" water transmission main between the Water Treatment Plant and Campbell Soup . A meter would be located at 19th Street N. W. and go over to Highway 79 to pick up Lamar County Water Supply District's water line there. Mr. Dockery presented a map showing the proposed water line, and stated this would improve the City's ability to serve other customers in this area. After discussion, Mayor Burnett appointed a committee consisting of Councilman Clifford, Councilman Bone, and Councilman Kent to study the Lamar County Water Supply District's proposal and report back to the Council. Phillip Bandel M. D., 1055 Wilburn appeared before the Council presenting a handout, and stating that this concerned a letter he had received from the City of Paris requesting that. he remove a fence that is obstructing Lover Lane. Dr. Bandel made the following proposal: "To enclose property of 1055 Wilburn and lots 10a, 11A, 12A, 13A of the Reeder Addition with one fence that will cross Lovers Lane at two places with the understanding that IF EVER this portion of Lovers
