PARIS FIRE DEPARTMENT HISTORICAL PROJECT Sponsored By The Lamar County Historical Society Paris, Texas PURPOSE - The Lamar County Historical Society, in cooperation with the Paris Fire Department, shall seek to catalog, preserve, and /or display such items as shall be deemed historical in nature, pertaining directly or indirectly to the Fire Department of the City of Paris. ADMINISTRATION - The project shall be administered by the Lamar County Historical Society Project Chairman Debbie Burks, Paris Fire Chief Steve Burgin, and Lamar County Historical Society President Glen Gambill. OWNERSHIP - Ownership of items currently in the possession of the Fire Department of the City of Paris shall remain the property of said department as long as those items shall be maintained in a manner which shall preserve them. If no longer retained or maintained by the Fire Department of the City of Paris, ownership of all such items shall be transferred to the Lamar County Historical Society. Future items shall be accepted at the discretion of the project administration. Those items which shall be donated after the date of this agreement shall be the property of the Lamar County Historical Society unless the donor specifically request that such items become the property of the Fire Department of the City of Paris, in which case ownership must be stated in the gift agreement. All furniture (i.e. filing cabinets, display cases, etc.) purchased by the Society shall remain the property of said Society. AMENDMENTS - This agreement may be amended with the approval of both the Lamar County Historical Society and the Paris Fire Department. TERMINATION - This agreement may be terminated at the request of either the Lamar County Historical Society or the Fire Department, City of Paris, by written request and with at least thirty days notice. Termination may be completed prior to thirty days if agreeable to both parties. The Lamar County Historical Society and the Fire Department of the City of Paris hereby agree to abide by the conditions set forth herein, effective date: May 11, 1987 Lamar County Historical Society President Date Lamar County Historical Society Project Chairman Date City of Paris Fire Chief Date Approved as to Form: Paris City Attorney Date VvUTBTT "A" Resolution No. 87 -055 appointing Eric S. Clifford as a member of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of Governments, to serve until his successor is duly qualified or installed, or until he becomes disqualified to serve was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bufford, seconded by Councilman Wortham for approval of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
