RESOLUTION NO. 87 -055 WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, is a member of the Ark -Tex Council of Governments; and, WHEREAS, in accordance with the Bylaws of the Ark -Tex Council of Governments the Board of Directors of same shall be composed of members elected or appointed by the member- ship; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris is entitled to appoint three members of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of Governments as provided in the Bylaws of the same; and, WHEREAS, Billy Joe Burnett, Mayor of the City of Paris, recommends the appointment by the City Council of the City of Paris of Eric S. Clifford as Mike Folmar's successor, to serve until his successor is duly qualified or installed or until he becomes disqualified to so serve; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That Eric S, Clifford be, and he is hereby appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Ark -Tex Council of Governments, to serve until his successor is duly qualified or installed, or until he becomes disqualified to so serve. K.-Hay nes, City Attorney Resolution No. 87 -056 appointing William (Bill) Bone as a member of the Visitors and Convention Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County to serve the unexpired term of Jeff Hoog, which ends December 31, 1987 was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by Councilman Wortham for approval of the Resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays.
