District 2 - City Maintenance Building - 50 W. Hickory, formerly <br />Solid Rock Baptist Church. <br />District 4 - Police Department - 811 Bonham Street, formerly Oak <br />Park United Methodist Church. <br />District 5 - City Hall Annex - 150 1st Street S. E., formerly <br />Central Fire Station. <br />City Attorney advised that this matter is being presented to the <br />Council at this time in order to allow the City Clerk to acquire <br />pre - clearance from the Attorney General's office to change the polling <br />places. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by <br />Councilman Clifford for approval of the changes in the polling places. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes , 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett called for consideration and action on the request of Dr. <br />Phillip Bandel regarding his fencing of Lover Lane adjacent to his <br />property, and advised that Dr. Bandel would not be able to attend the <br />Council meeting and has requested that this matter be tabled until a <br />later date. <br />City Attorney Haynes asked the Council if they wished to continue with <br />this item, and it was the consensus of the Council to continue. City <br />Attorney Haynes told the Council that the options were to do nothing, <br />and if no action was taken on Dr. Bandel's request, then City Staff <br />will feel instructed to carry out the laws and ordinance of the City of <br />Paris which will require the removal of the fence by giving the <br />property owner the opportunity to remove his fence at a reasonable time <br />which is normally 30 days, if he does not remove the fence, then the <br />City would remove the fence. <br />After Discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Bone instructing the <br />City Attorney to proceed with a letter giving Dr. Bandel 30 days to <br />remove his fence from Lovers Lane, and instructed the City Manager and <br />Director of Public Works to check into the cost to make Lovers Lane <br />passable. The motion was seconded by Councilman Fendley and carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett called for approval of plans and authorizating <br />reconstruction and replacement of a culvert in the 900 Block of East <br />Polk Street on Big Sandy Creek by force account means. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Council that a semi - concrete culvert in <br />the 900 Block of East Polk Street had collapsed from the weight of a <br />City 's Sanitation truck, and the street is closed. City Manager <br />Malone said that due to the location and the amount of traffic, he <br />would place the repair of the culvert high of the priority list, and <br />said the estimated cost to repair the culvert would be approximately <br />$10,000.00. <br />
