51 <br />(GR) to a Commercial District (C) on Lot 11, City Block 223 located <br />at 1946 Lamar Ave. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr., Nathan Bell, <br />624 Church Street appeared in his behalf stating that this is a <br />similar situation as the previous petition. Mr. Bell told the <br />Council that there was another petition on the agenda for tonight for <br />Mr. Donald Robinson for a zoning change on the southeast corner of <br />Lamar Avenue and 19th S. E. from a General Retail District to a <br />Commercial District, and that there is only one lot between these two <br />zoning changes which is owned by the Dudley Estate and Mrs. L. D. <br />Caviness's residence. Mr. Bell stated that he had ask Mrs. <br />Caviness if she would like to join in the zoning change of the <br />property, but she was not interested in the zoning change at this <br />time, and Mrs. Caviness did not have any objection to the zoning <br />change. Mr. Bell informed the Council that he would be glad to <br />contact Mrs. Caviness again regarding the zoning change. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, none appeared and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />Councilman Wortham moved to table action on the zoning change, and <br />accept the offer of Mr. Bell to contact Mrs. Caviness again <br />regarding the zoning change of the Dudley Estate's property, and <br />requested Mr. Bell to report back to the Council at the Monday night <br />Council meeting. Councilman Wortham also moved to authorize <br />preparation of an Ordinance to be considered at the Monday night <br />meeting. The motion was seconded by Councilman Bone and carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Donald Robinson for a change in zoning from a General Retail District <br />(GR) to a Commercial District (C) on Lot 9, City Block 223 located on <br />the Southeast corner of.Lamar Avenue and 19th S. E. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear, and none appeared. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, none appeared and <br />the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman F0 mgr, seconded by Councilman Hoog <br />to table action on the petition pending Mr. Nathan Bell's report to <br />the Council at the Monday night Council meeting February 9, 1987. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />David Tompkins, City Engineer, presented the replat of Lot 1, Block <br />3, Lot 1, Block 10, Town North Estates. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Folmar, seconded by Councilman Bone for approval of the <br />replat subject to the requirements of the City Engineer. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />David Tcnpkins, City Engineer, presented the Final Plat of Southwest <br />Industrial Park.
