..•r :ice ...� <br />WHEREAS, <br />keeping with <br />of Paris; and, <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84 -002 <br />the City Council of the City of Paris, in <br />its philosophy of serving all of the citizens <br />WHEREAS, streets of the City of Paris have heretofore <br />been named after prominent national figures; and, <br />WHEREAS, Martin Luther King, Jr. is recognized as a <br />prominent national figure, it is therefore fitting and <br />proper to designate Blake Road from the East boundary line <br />of 6th Street N. E. East to the West boundary line of 20th <br />Street N. E. as Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, that Blake Road from the East boundary line of 6th <br />Street N. E. East to the West boundary line of 20th Street <br />N. K, Haynes, City Attorney <br />Resolution No. 84 -003 authorizing the Mayor to execute a lease contract <br />with the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County Inc. for the City's <br />interest in property at 1651 Clarksville Street was presented. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Fisher approving <br />the Resolution and directing that the Resolution be presented to the <br />Chamber of Commerce's attorney for further action. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Fisher and carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />1 -- <br />
