s ms's•- "a '.�. <br />F�k <br />r <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />March 8, 1984 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Thursday, <br />March 8, 1984 5:15 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with <br />the following Councilmen present: Donald G. Wilson, Jeff Hoog, Gene <br />McWaters, Jr., and Nathan Bell. Also present were City Manager, David <br />H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Graham advised the Council that this was regular meeting to <br />consider the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission who <br />meeting was held on March 5, 1984. <br />The Director of Community Development, Joe McCollum appeared before the <br />Council and introduced the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />who's minutes are attached hereto and exhibit A. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Eric S. <br />Clifford for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a <br />Commercial District (C) on part of Lots 1, City Block 319 located on the <br />south side of F. M. 195, approximately 400 feet east of Loop 286 N. E. <br />Mr. McCollum advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recom- <br />mended approval of the petition. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and none appeared. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Coucnilman McWaters <br />authorizing the preparation of and Ordinance approving the petition. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Marilee <br />Lee for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to <br />a Two Family Dwelling District on Lot 4, City Block '213 located at 1935 <br />W. Sherman Street. <br />Mr. McCollum advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recom- <br />mended approval of the petition. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and Chris Lee appeared in <br />behalf of the petitioner. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman Bell <br />authorizing the preparation of an Ordinance approving the request. The <br />motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open to consider a site plan on <br />Lot 1, City Block 287. <br />r <br />
