s ms's•- "a '.�. F�k r MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS March 8, 1984 The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Thursday, March 8, 1984 5:15 P. M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: Donald G. Wilson, Jeff Hoog, Gene McWaters, Jr., and Nathan Bell. Also present were City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. Mayor Graham advised the Council that this was regular meeting to consider the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission who meeting was held on March 5, 1984. The Director of Community Development, Joe McCollum appeared before the Council and introduced the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission who's minutes are attached hereto and exhibit A. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Eric S. Clifford for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) on part of Lots 1, City Block 319 located on the south side of F. M. 195, approximately 400 feet east of Loop 286 N. E. Mr. McCollum advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recom- mended approval of the petition. Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and none appeared. Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the public hearing was declared closed. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Coucnilman McWaters authorizing the preparation of and Ordinance approving the petition. The motion carried 5 ayes, o nays. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Marilee Lee for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 to a Two Family Dwelling District on Lot 4, City Block '213 located at 1935 W. Sherman Street. Mr. McCollum advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recom- mended approval of the petition. Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and Chris Lee appeared in behalf of the petitioner. Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the public hearing was declared closed. A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman Bell authorizing the preparation of an Ordinance approving the request. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open to consider a site plan on Lot 1, City Block 287. r
