which could be expanded. <br />Discussion followed and Mrs. Smith made a motion to recommend approval of the <br />change. Mr. Hildreth seconded the motion which carried 5 ayes, 1 nay. Mr. <br />McMonigle voted nay. <br />Chairman Nutt declared the public hearing open on the petition of Alan Boyd <br />for Site Plan approval in a Planned Development District (PD -a) on Lot 1, <br />City Block 287 located at 3310 Lamar Avenue. <br />Mr. Boyd presented the Site Plan which provided for a jewelry store and lease <br />space for other business uses. <br />There was no opposition to the Site Plan and the public hearing was closed. <br />Mr. McCollum advised the Commission that staff had reviewed the Site Plan <br />and recommended approval subject to the dedication of additional right of <br />way for the widening of 33rd S.E. <br />Mr. Pine commented on the drainage for the lot and urged Mr. Boyd to extend <br />the curb and gutter on 33rd S.E. to Lamar Avenue. <br />Following discussion Mr. Perry made a motion to recommend approval of the <br />Site Plan, marked-Exhibit A and attached hereto, subject to the right of <br />way dedication. Mrs. Smith seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Nutt declared the public hearing open on the proposed annexation <br />and proper zoning upon annexation of the 90.62 acre tract of land owned and <br />occupied by Merico, Inc. located on the east side of 19th N.W. between W. <br />Center Street and Loop 286 N.W. <br />There was no one in the audience to speak on the matter. <br />Mr. McCollum spoke for the annexation saying that the tract of land had been <br />disannexed from the City in February, 1973 and had remained outside the City <br />Limits since that time as per similar agreements with large industrial <br />concerns. <br />He said that staff recommendation was to annex and to place a Light <br />Industrial Zoning District classification on the property upon annexation. <br />The public hearing was closed and following discussion Mr. McMonigle made a <br />motion to recommend any exalion and Light Industri inn iipnn annexation. <br />Mr. Hildreth seconded the motion which carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of Elk Hollow Addition was recommended for approval on a motion <br />by Mr. Perry, seconded by Mr. Davidson subject to the exceptions listed in <br />City Engineer's Memorandum dated March 3, 1984, marked Exhibit B and attached <br />hereto. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of York Addition was recommended for approval on a motion <br />by Mr. Davidson, seconded by Mr. Hildreth subject to the exceptions listed in <br />City Engineer's Memorandum dated March 3, 1984, marked Exhibit C and attached <br />hereto. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
