f $ <br />1 <br />WTI' <br />I A <br />A letter was introduced from C.L. Walker requesting that they be permitted <br />to continue the alley width of 12 feet throughout the remainder of the <br />Springlake Estates which had been previously approved for Phase I, II and <br />III of the Subdivision. The letter is marked Exhibit B and attached hereto. <br />Mr. Pine presented his comments on the 12' width saying that the Regulations <br />required a 16' paving width but 12' worked well and discouraged two -way <br />traffic in alleys. He said if the Commission approved the 12' width, he would <br />request that the Regulations be amended to allow the lesser width in future <br />developments. <br />Following discussion, Mrs. Smith made a motion to allow the variance under <br />the provisions of Section XVI of the Regulations. Mr. Nutt seconded the <br />motion which carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Replat of Lots 3 and 6, Block U, Tanglewood Addition was recommended for <br />approval on a motion by Mrs. Battle, seconded by Mr. Hildreth subject to the <br />exceptions listed in City Engineer's Memorandum dated April 2, 1984, marked <br />Exhibit C and attached hereto. The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Replat of Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 1, F.O. Reed Addition was recommended <br />for approval on a motion by Mr. Perry, seconded by Mr. McMonigle, subject to <br />the exceptions listed in City Engineer's Memorandum dated April 2, 1984, marked <br />Exhibit D and attached hereto. The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of Paris Bible Church Addition was recommended for approval on <br />a motion by Mrs. Smith, seconded by Mrs. Battle, subject to the exceptions <br />listed in City Engineer's Memorandum dated April 2, 1984, marked Exhibit E <br />and attached hereto. The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Replat of Lot 9, City Block 259 was recommended for approval on a motion <br />by Mr. Perry, seconded by Mrs. Battle, subject to the exceptions listed in <br />-- City Engineer's Memorandum dated April 2, 1984, marked Exhibit F and attached <br />hereto. The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Final Plat of Wolf Creek Subdivision and Beaver Lake Subdivision located <br />west of U.S. Highway 271 approximately 5 miles north of the Paris City Limits <br />were presented by Mr. McCollum who advised that due to their location, approval <br />by the City of Paris was required. He reviewed the policy of leaving construction <br />standards to the County on' developments between 2 and 5 miles from the City <br />Limits and stated there were no major roads to plan for involving the two <br />subdivisions. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Nutt, seconded by Mr. Perry to recommend approval <br />of the Final Plat of Wolf Creek Subdivision. The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 <br />nays. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Nutt, seconded by Mrs. Battle to recommend approval of <br />the Beaver Lake Final Plat, The motion carried 8 ayes, 0 nays. <br />The Replat of Lots 14 -A - 14 -D, City Block 170 -C was recommended for approval <br />on a motion by Mr.. McMonigle, seconded by Mr. Perry, subject to the exceptions <br />listed in City Engineer's Memorandum dated April 2, 1984, marked Exhibit G <br />and attached hereto with the further stipulation that the developer's engineer <br />address item 4 in the memorandum when the plat is presented to the City Council <br />on April 5, 1984.
