After discussion, a motion was made by <br />Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams approving the final <br />plat subject to the recommendation made by the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission and the City Engineer. A motion was made by Councilman Williams, <br />seconded by Councilman McWaters for approval of the re -plat. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Director of Community Development McCollum presented a re -plat of <br />Lots 1 through 6, Block 12, Westside Addition. A motion was made by <br />Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Williams approving the re- <br />plat. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Attorney Haynes presented the following petitions for re- zoning: <br />John Madewell, Lots 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 4F, 4G, 4H, 4J, City Block <br />286 from Planned Development Housing District to Planned Development <br />Recreation and Day Care Center District. <br />Mayor Graham referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />for their study and recommendation and called for a public hearing at <br />the next regular Council meeting. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the next order of business would be consid- <br />eration of recommendations made by the Traffic Commission. <br />Mayor Graham requested the consideration of the Council on the item <br />concerning a 40 MPH speed limit on South Collegiate Drive. A motion <br />was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman McGee authroizing <br />preparation of an Ordinance establishing a 40 MPH speed limit on South <br />Collegiate Drive between Clarksville and Jefferson Road. The motion <br />carried 5 ayes, 0 nays, Councilman Williams not voting, Councilman <br />Francis voting nay. <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulations of bids for the purchase of a <br />Vactor Truck for the Sewer Department, and the following bids were <br />presented: <br />
