MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS February 8, 1982 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, February 8, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Travis Wortham, Larry McGee, Ken Kohls, and Joe Graham. Also present were City Manager, R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. Invocation was offered by Lieut. Stedham, Salvation Army. Mayor Burnett asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous meetings, furnished to the Council members. There being no corrections, the minutes were approved. Mayor Burnett announced the first order of business would be consideration of recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of the Christ and Elizabeth Pshigoda Foundation for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2, to a Multi- Family Dwelling District No. 1, on the south part of Lot 1, City Block 258, located on the north side of East Cherry Street between 21st N. E. and 25th N. E. Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Lyndol Brown appeared in behalf of the petitioners, and presented a proposed site plan for a 94 Unit Residental Development for persons 60 years of age or older. Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, and Mr. Larry Grebb appeared. Mr. Grebb stated that he was not exactly opposed to the development, but was concern about the drainage of the area as well as concerned about the sanitary i sewer system,perhaps being over loaded by the additional development. Mar jWrjwtt declared the public hearing closed and ORDNAKE NO. 2607 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY: ESTABLISH- ING A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) ON THE SOUTH PART OF LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 258, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CHRIST AND ELIZABETH PSHIGODA FOUNDATION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) SO ESTABLISHED. was presented. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman Williams for approval of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Pete Witter for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District - Specific Use Permit, Private Golf Course to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 and Specific Use Permit- Mobile Home on part of Lot 10, City Block 317, located on the South side of the county road that runs along the north side of the Elk Hollow Golf Course approximately 500' east of 36th N. E. Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Pete Witter appeared in his behalf stating that he proposed to place a mobile home on the Elk Hollow Golf Course in order to provide an added security to the Course.
