MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />February 8, 1982 <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Paris was held Monday, <br />February 8, 1982, 7:00 P. M. Mayor Burnett called the meeting to order with <br />the following Councilmen present: W. C. Francis, Walter F. Williams, Travis <br />Wortham, Larry McGee, Ken Kohls, and Joe Graham. Also present were City Manager, <br />R. W. Sokoll, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Invocation was offered by Lieut. Stedham, Salvation Army. <br />Mayor Burnett asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of previous <br />meetings, furnished to the Council members. There being no corrections, the <br />minutes were approved. <br />Mayor Burnett announced the first order of business would be consideration of <br />recommendations made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of the Christ and <br />Elizabeth Pshigoda Foundation for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 2, to a Multi- Family Dwelling District No. 1, on the south part of <br />Lot 1, City Block 258, located on the north side of East Cherry Street between <br />21st N. E. and 25th N. E. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Lyndol Brown appeared <br />in behalf of the petitioners, and presented a proposed site plan for a 94 Unit <br />Residental Development for persons 60 years of age or older. <br />Mayor Burnett called for opponents to appear, and Mr. Larry Grebb appeared. <br />Mr. Grebb stated that he was not exactly opposed to the development, but was <br />concern about the drainage of the area as well as concerned about the sanitary <br />i sewer system,perhaps being over loaded by the additional development. <br />Mar jWrjwtt declared the public hearing closed and <br />ORDNAKE NO. 2607 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY: ESTABLISH- <br />ING A MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) ON THE SOUTH PART OF LOT 1, <br />CITY BLOCK 258, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CHRIST AND ELIZABETH PSHIGODA <br />FOUNDATION, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE - <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE <br />MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman McGee, seconded by Councilman <br />Williams for approval of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Burnett declared the public hearing open on the petition of Pete Witter <br />for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District - Specific Use Permit, <br />Private Golf Course to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 and Specific Use <br />Permit- Mobile Home on part of Lot 10, City Block 317, located on the South side <br />of the county road that runs along the north side of the Elk Hollow Golf Course <br />approximately 500' east of 36th N. E. <br />Mayor Burnett called for proponents to appear and Mr. Pete Witter appeared in <br />his behalf stating that he proposed to place a mobile home on the Elk Hollow <br />Golf Course in order to provide an added security to the Course. <br />
