Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2636 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710, OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING <br />MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A MULTI - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. <br />1 (MF -1) ON PART OF LOTS 8, 9, 10, AND 11, BLOCK 10, BELMONT ADDITION <br />TO THE CITY OF PARIS, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO BETTY RUTH BILLS HOUSTON, <br />SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE <br />MULTI - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 1 (MF -1) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by <br />Councilman Fisher for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried <br />7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of <br />Wolens -Erwin Beasley Co. for a change in zoning from a Commercial <br />District to a Light Indsutrial District on Lot 1, City Block 329 <br />located on the west side of Loop 286 S. W. south of Bonham Street. <br />Councilman McWaters requested to be excused form the Council and to <br />abstain from voting on the matter, and removed himself from the <br />Council table. <br />Mrs. Martha Dean appeared before the Council and spoke in favor of <br />i� <br />the petition. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and Mr. Barnard Knight, <br />Mr. Roy Biard, Mr. Jesse Easton, Robert Bledsoe, Mr. Jerry Tyler <br />all appeared in opposition to the petition. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing closed, and <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING <br />MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON <br />LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 329, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO WOLENS -ERWIN BEASLEY <br />CO., SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LIGHT <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) SO ESTABLISHED. <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by <br />Councilman Williams to deny the Ordinance and the re- zoning. The <br />motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Councilman McWaters not voting. <br />Councilman McWaters entered the Council chambers and assumed his chair <br />at the Council table. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Alice <br />Hearn for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />to a Neighborhood Service District on Lot 9, Block 2, Sperry's First <br />Addition located at 795 28th N. W. <br />
