Representives for the Spirole Engineering Co., the Wall Concrete Co., <br />The Dickey Clay Pipe Company, and Ductile Pipe Company made presenta- <br />tions to the City Council. Councilman Francis recommended that the <br />City go toslip lining the pipe and presented a drawing showing the area <br />involved. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Francis: <br />Even though it is a bad deal, I make a motion that the bid be awarded <br />to Vemco Company. The motion died for lack of a second. After further <br />discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Fisher, seconded by Council- <br />man Franicis to award the bid to Vemco Pipe Company on SDR 26 grade <br />in the amount of $37,85 per L. Foot. The motion carried 4 ayes, 3 nays, <br />Councilman McGee, Councilman Wilson, and Mayor Graham voting nay. <br />City Manager Sokoll requested authorization to advertise for bids on <br />the Pine Creek Sewer Project and requested the approval of the plans <br />and specifications for the installation of the line. After discussion, <br />a motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman Wilson <br />authorizing the advertising of bids. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 2188 authorizing and directing the City Attorney to <br />proceed to condemn certain property to be used for Phase I Big Sandy <br />Creek Drainage Project was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />McGee, seconded by Councilman Wilson approving the Resolution. The <br />motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
