RESOLUTION N0, 2194
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did
<br />at its regular meeting on the 12th day of July, 1982,
<br />approved the advertisement for bids for furnishing all
<br />plant, labor, material, except for 2800 feet of Polyethylene
<br />pipe which is provided by the City of Paris, and equipment
<br />and performing all work required for the excavation of
<br />approximately 2895 cubic yards of earth; backfilling of
<br />trench consisting of approximately 458 cubic yards; placing
<br />approximately 2550 feet of Polyethylene pipe; constructing
<br />six (6) manholes; and miscellaneous items of related work
<br />beginning at Pine Creek and proceeding South approximately
<br />2550 feet toward the City of Paris entitled Main Outfall
<br />Sanitary Sewer Construction, Phase I, which bids were
<br />received until 10:00 o'clock A.M., Monday, August 2, 1982;
<br />and,
<br />WHEREAS, the best bid for such construction project
<br />was made by Dual Construction, Inc., P, 0, Box 867,
<br />Texarkana, Texas 75504, and it should be awarded the
<br />contract for such construction; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the form of contract for such construction
<br />project is attached hereto as Exhibit A, and such form should
<br />be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
<br />that the bid of Dual Construction, Inc., for the Main Outfall
<br />Sanitary Sewer Construction, Phase I, in the amount of $89,426.00
<br />is hereby accepted and let, conditioned upon said contractor
<br />meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the
<br />bid documents; and,
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
<br />Paris, Joe Graham, be, and he is hereby authorized and
<br />directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, the
<br />contract for the Main Outfall Sanitary Sewer Construction,
<br />Phase I, upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown
<br />in Exhibit "A" attached hereto with Dual Construction, Inc.
<br />Passed and adopted this 3rd day of August, 1982.
