I <br />City Engineer, Rick Conner, appeared before the Council and discussed <br />Pine Creek Sewer Project change orders including the elimination of <br />three of the 6 manholes. <br />Mayor Graham announced that the Council would go into executive <br />session and the regular session was declared closed and the executive <br />session open. <br />During discussion with the City Attorney concerning legal matters at <br />the Sanitary Landfill, Mayor Graham appointed a committee composed <br />of Chairman McWaters, Councilman Williams, and Councilman McGee to <br />a Landfill Study Committee. <br />Mayor Graham declared the executive session closed, and the regular <br />session open. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Williams, seconded by Councilman <br />Fisher to accept the resignation of City Manager Sokoll effective <br />immediately with 6 months severance pay being provided. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman <br />Fisher to appoint Assistant Manager and Director of Finance Greene <br />as Acting City Manager during the interim period and until a City <br />Manager cound be employed.
